AMPSTATE – SHIPPING POLICY

AmpState supplies industrial electrical components, MCC buckets, switchgear parts, breakers, and other technical equipment to customers worldwide.
By placing an order or submitting a Request for Quote (RFQ), you agree fully to the shipping terms outlined below.

This policy is intentionally strict to protect AmpState from liability associated with shipping delays, industrial downtime, freight issues, customs interference, and other events beyond our control.

Ampstate is a Canadian electrical supply company operated by Ampstate Electric.
We specialize in industrial electrical components including MCC buckets, breakers, bus plugs, and related equipment.


1. Order Processing & RFQ Fulfillment

1.1 RFQ (Request to Quote) Orders

  • Many industrial products require custom sourcing, verification, or supplier approval.

  • Lead times, pricing, and availability provided in a quote are estimates only, not guarantees.

  • Orders begin processing after payment clears, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

AmpState is not responsible for:

  • Supplier delays

  • Global distribution shortages

  • Manufacturer backorders

  • Changes in availability after an RFQ is submitted

  • “AmpState Electric supplies industrial electrical equipment on a quotation basis. Pricing, availability, and delivery terms are confirmed after order review. Customers complete purchases after receiving and approving a formal quote.”

     

1.2 Standard Orders

Standard processing time is 1–7 business days, but may extend due to:

  • Inventory checks

  • Supplier authentication

  • Export control compliance

  • High-value item verification

  • Product testing/inspection (if applicable)


2. Shipping Times & Delays

Shipping times displayed at checkout or provided in a quote are carrier estimates, not guarantees.

AmpState is not liable for:

  • Carrier delays (DHL, UPS, FedEx, Canada Post, freight carriers)

  • Weather issues

  • Customs inspections or clearance delays

  • Incorrect or incomplete delivery information

  • Worldwide supply-chain disruptions

  • Acts of God, strikes, labor shortages, pandemics

Once an order has been transferred to the carrier, AmpState cannot modify delivery timeframes.


3. Tracking Information

Tracking updates are controlled solely by the carrier.

AmpState is not responsible for:

  • Delayed tracking updates

  • Mis-scanned items

  • Tracking numbers that show no movement

  • Carrier errors


4. Address Accuracy (Customer Responsibility)

The customer is fully responsible for providing:

  • Correct address

  • Unit numbers

  • Postal/ZIP accuracy

  • Business receiving hours

AmpState does not refund or replace orders lost due to incorrect or incomplete address information.

Re-shipping fees apply for all returned or undeliverable packages.


5. Lost, Stolen, or Misdelivered Shipments

Once the carrier marks the shipment as Delivered, AmpState’s responsibility ends immediately.

AmpState is not liable for:

  • Stolen packages

  • Lost packages

  • Misdelivered shipments

  • Delivery confirmation disputes

Customers must file a claim directly with the carrier.

AmpState may assist with documentation when possible, but is not obligated to replace, refund, or reship lost/stolen packages.


6. International Shipping, Duties & Customs

For all international shipments:

  • Customs fees, VAT, import duties, and brokerage fees are not included in product prices.

  • These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer.

  • Customs may hold shipments for inspection at their discretion.

AmpState is not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by customs

  • Packages rejected or returned due to unpaid duties

  • Seized items

Returned shipments due to customs issues may incur re-shipping costs.


7. Damaged Shipments

If your order arrives damaged:

  1. Report the damage to the carrier immediately.

  2. Keep all original packaging materials.

  3. Notify AmpState within 48 hours of delivery.

Damage caused by the carrier is not AmpState’s responsibility.
Claims must be filed through the carrier’s insurance system.

AmpState is not obligated to replace or refund items damaged in transit.


8. Industrial Use Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

AmpState sells industrial electrical components that may be installed in:

  • MCC systems

  • Switchgear

  • Automation equipment

  • Power distribution systems

  • Commercial/industrial machinery

Because customer applications vary:

AmpState assumes no liability whatsoever for:

  • Equipment downtime

  • Production loss

  • Loss of revenue or profits

  • Labor costs

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  • Improper installation or wiring

  • Misapplication of components

  • Failure of downstream equipment

  • Safety incidents resulting from installation or usage

Customer Responsibility

The customer agrees that:

  • All installation must be performed by a licensed professional.

  • Selecting appropriate parts is the customer’s responsibility.

  • AmpState does not guarantee compatibility unless stated in writing.


9. Warranty Disclaimer (Important)

Unless explicitly stated, AmpState provides:

  • No warranty on used, surplus, or refurbished components.

  • No guarantee of manufacturer warranty.

  • No warranty on electrical components once installed.

Warranty disputes must be handled directly with the applicable manufacturer.

AmpState is not liable for:

  • Damage caused by improper installation

  • Failures resulting from incorrect application

  • Environmental or electrical conditions outside manufacturer specs


10. Refused, Returned, or Undeliverable Shipments

If a shipment is returned due to:

  • Wrong address

  • Customer unavailable

  • Failure to pay duties/taxes

  • Refusal to accept delivery

The customer is responsible for:

  • Return shipping fees

  • Re-shipping fees

  • Any carrier surcharges

Shipping costs are non-refundable.


11. Force Majeure

AmpState is not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, including:

  • Natural disasters

  • War/conflict

  • Acts of terrorism

  • Power outages

  • Carrier strikes

  • Global supply shortages

  • Government restrictions

  • Pandemics or public emergencies
